When you imagine how you might find your way there, does it seem difficult or complicated, or even impossible? It’s true that the modern world can feel alienating and disconnective, but remembering how to belong here doesn’t need to be complex or overwhelming. It can be as simple as taking a breath and being willing.
In this month-long guided exploration we’ll share “recipes” for four beloved practices that help engage a sense of belonging so that you can take part in the process as an active participant.
As it turns out, your sense of belonging (or lack thereof) isn’t something that comes from outside of you, it’s a set of skills that can be learned.
The recipes are uncomplicated, accessible, don’t cost any money, and can have profound impacts, especially when they’re repeated regularly.
What to Expect
When you sign up, you’ll receive an email that welcomes you on the journey, shares more about belonging as a practice, and sets you up for what’s to come.
Then, you’ll receive a recipe for a new belonging practice in your inbox each week. We will introduce the practice, and then break it down into a recipe so you can easily try it out in your own life. Reflection questions are included, to help you digest the experience.
Between recipes, we’ll send a follow-up email to help you stay accountable to the inspiration that moved you to join the journey. In them, we also share common barriers and challenges that can come up with each practice, and suggestions about how to work with them.
Throughout the process, we’ll be available to answer questions and hear about how it’s going for you.
At the end you’ll receive a beautiful ebook with all of the practices together, plus a list of books and podcasts from some of our favorite teachers in this work of remembering our belonging.
Spirit of Practice
What we share through this guided exploration are practices to play with and experience in your own way. They are suggestions and ideas based on our own journeys and the wisdom of our teachers. There is no pass or fail here, just practice.
This is a non-denominational offering, and is adaptable to all faiths and spiritual beliefs. We do engage the idea of Spirit and the great Mystery, opening to powers and forces beyond ourselves.
