Adam Klaus
Faculty
Adam has had his hands in the dirt since the beginning. Anthropology lead Adam to the remarkable world of peasant agriculture, which he has been following for the past 20+ years, traveling the earth and farming in different ecosystems.
Along the way, Adam founded a grass-fed organic dairy in Western Colorado, planted several diversified subtropical fruit orchards in Southern California, and has been fortunate to study with teachers from Korea, Germany, Hawaii, and across the Americas.
When not deep in the soil, Adam enjoys backpacking with his wife and three teenagers, surfing a nice wave at sunset, sharing food with friends, and speaking Spanish.
After hosting numerous apprentices on his farm, speaking at organic farming and permaculture events, collaborating in an urban community garden, and now cooperatively farming at Earthaven, Adam is excited to share his passion for the natural world by teaching agricultural courses through SOIL.
